茄子身痕不可吃
發物泛指易引起上火、生痰、發瘡、過敏、或令舊疾復發、新病加重的食物,對於有濕疹或皮膚過敏的朋友都應該知道,濕疹或敏感發作期吃竹筍、蝦蟹、牛肉或鵝肉,痕癢不適絕對會一發不可收拾,但原來很多朋友不知道的是,常見的蔬菜如茄子,也是發物的一員,中醫典藉有說:「多食動風氣、發瘡疥,諸病人莫食」,可見茄子為動風發物,容易透發或加重皮膚瘡瘍腫毒症狀,皮膚敏感、濕疹患者或容易出風癩者尤其不宜吃。
時值初秋,是吃茄子的好季節,這種蔬菜也是不少媽媽的喜愛,貪其健康又美味,而且煮法多多,不論是魚香茄子、蒸或煎釀茄子,總是可在廣東家庭家常菜找到它的蹤影!原來在濕疹或皮膚敏感時,茄子這種健康的蔬菜也要盡量避免,否則會愈吃愈痕!
茄子-性涼,有清熱活血,寬腸通便的功效,適合三高及有痔瘡人士食用。正因其性涼,脾胃虛寒易腹瀉,有皮膚病如濕疹或皮膚過敏、哮喘、癌症、紅斑狼瘡症患者不宜。
長茄子:常見為紫、白及青色,多用於中式烹煮,如紅燒、蒸、煎釀等
圓茄子:有圓形或橢圓形,有常見於日式料理及西式烤焗,配以肉醬及芝士
小茄子:有多種不同大小,有紫及青色,多用於東南亞料理,如泰式冬蔭功湯或青咖哩
Avoid eggplant if you have itchy skin
Stimulating food generally refers to those that can lead to fire in body, phlegm production, sores, allergy or leading to relapse of old issues and worsening of new symptoms. For those who have eczema or skin allergies, you should know that if you eat bamboo shoots, shrimp, crab, beef or goose during attack period, itching and discomfort will definitely become more serious. But many of you do not know that common vegetables such as eggplant are also a stimulating ingredients. Ancient Chinese medicine book mentioned that it causes wind and sores so patients should avoid it. Eggplant can activate wind, which can worsen sore symptoms. It is especially not suitable for those with skin allergies, eczema and hives.
There is good season to eat eggplant in the early autumn. This kind of vegetable is also a favourite choice of many mothers. It is healthy and delicious, and there are many cooking methods. Whether it is braised eggplant with minced pork, steamed or fried eggplant, they are common Cantonese home dishes. In fact, for those with eczema or sensitive skin, you should avoid this healthy vegetable or the itch may worsen.
Eggplant – cool in nature, can clear heat and promote blood circulation, loosen the bowels to relieve constipation. Suitable for those with hyperglycemia, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, haemorrhoids. Because of its cold nature, those with asthenic and cold spleen and stomach, those prone to diarrhea, skin diseases such as eczema or skin allergies, and those with asthma, cancer, and lupus should not eat.
Long eggplant: common in purple, white and green, mostly used in Chinese cooking, mainly braised, steamed, or fried.
Round eggplant: round or oval, common in Japanese and Western-style grilled chops with meat sauce and cheese
Small eggplant: available in a variety of sizes, purple and green, mostly used in Southeast Asian cuisines, such as Thai Tom Yum Kung or Green Curry

1. choose small and firm instead of big and soft
2. cut off blossom ends of a cucumber
3. pour over salty "boiling water" for soaking
4. drain the water out properly

4 cucumbers
1/2 small onion
1/5 carrot
20g chive
4 tablespoons Korean chili powder (고추가루 guchu garu)
2 tablespoons of fish sauce (멸치액젓 myulchi aekjeot )
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 teaspoon ginger
1.5 tablespoons green plum syrup (매실청 Maesil chung)
*if not available, use '2 tablespoons of grated apple + 1 teaspoon sugar',
or just '2 teaspoons of sugar' instead

She also teaches many other exercise classes at the gym. In September, she published a dance exercise book called "Age Age Dance". She said she wants to let people know that the dance makes you happy, both mentally and physically. Microwave Chicken Roll-Up
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time: 30min
Number of servings: 2
Ingredients:
1 (300g=10.5oz.) chicken breast
2 slices ham *bacon is ok
2 sliced cheese
6 frozen green beans *defrosted
2 tsp. whole-grain mustard
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Remove the skin from the chicken if desired. Open out the meat from the center like a book. Lightly pound with the back of a knife to make it thin. Then season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Place the chicken skin side down, spread whole-grain mustard, place ham, cheese, and green beans along one edge of chicken. Then roll up the chicken tightly.
3. Wrap with plastic wrap, then twist the ends like a candy to seal it securely.
4. Place it on a microwavable dish, microwave at 600w (medium) for about 7 minutes. Leave it in the microwave and cool down in the microwave for 10-20 minutes until you can touch it.
5. Slice the chicken into pieces.
you can also steam in a frying pan or cook in the oven (220C=428F), both for about 15 min. tie the roll-up with kitchen string or secure with toothpicks or wrap with aluminum foil when cooking.
